Upcoming workshops…any ideas for the rest of the year?
I wanted to let you know we’ve got an exciting workshop planned for next week with the amazing Lisa Lanier!
She’s very active in local theater and is incredibly gifted!
She’ll be sharing some of her expertise with us on Sunday, the 25th at 6 p.m. at our workshop space in the Life Arts building.
Please let me know if you plan to come. We’re limiting attendance to 10 people.
I’m also working on getting workshops planned for the rest of the year and I’d love some ideas from you!
I’ll be doing a series of workshops on Michael Shurtleff’s guideposts for actors, I’m hoping to get the incomparable Kim Eberhardt back to do at least a couple more musical theater dance workshops, Sally Norton will hopefully be doing one or two acting workshops, I spoke with Yvonne Flack today, and she’s going to come out and do some Shakespeare with us, oh, and I’m really looking forward to some more Viewpoints work with Desiree Hill…
any other ideas?
We’ve got 17 (or so) Sundays left in the calendar year and I’d love to get at least a dozen of them filled with stuff for us to play!
Oh, and I’m also thinking about doing some kind of an informal showcase in December, where you can perform a monologue, song, dance, or scene you’ve been working on. This would be a great chance for us to get some performance experience and to maybe raise a little money for WTW.
What do you think? Would you like to do that? It wouldn’t consist of a lot of prep time…just a couple of weeks, maybe….hmmmm….let me know, okay?
I’ve been so caught up this summer, I’m missing our time together to just plain play!!!
I look forward to hearing from you…and see you Sunday!!
